Response to the irresponsible media work

In the subject discussed in the earlier post, I have decided that I must respond to the situation, so that we'll be able to help the channel to understand the seriousness of the issue and start behaving responsibly.

As one of the conscieous people, I am not going to watch the channel that shows news irresponsibly, for the period of one year.

Please do let me know your responses.

India TV showing skewed news 'End of world'

This is the next cheap publicity the channel 'India TV' has planned, about the end of the world.
We have not forgotten what it said in its earlier spoof : End of world due to the particle accelerator experiment.
Well, may be the channel should have taken a responsible approach to show such news. Let me do it for them. Someone has to do it...... as they do not have anyone responsible to understand what is a skewed news and what is the truth, maybe see what the experts have said about it.

So, the news is about the calendar system of the Maya Civilization. We see the system uses some numbering system, and looks like we are out of numbers by the 2012. We''ll have to increment to the next phase after that time. OK, but why it has to be the end of the world then? Frankly, I do not see any basis. I do not know what the India TV folks are believing in?

Let me see if there are any other information about this issue..... and here is what I can get within a few minutes

One should have expected to have this information included in the so called 'sensational news'. Otherwise it would be just fear provoking show that would attract cheap publicity and cause fear and confusion to the public.


Looking at all this, my opinion that the channel is doing injustice to the profession, which is an important pillar for the democracy.

Please share with me, if anyone has seen such news by other irresponsible media organization.

Let's be aware and promote the consciousness

Let's be aware and promote the consciousness in the organizations, who have impact on public and sometimes tend to behave irresponsibly.

I need the contribution from all you people who have no direct benefit from the organizations or its competitors, that we are going to discuss here. Let's keep it clean discussion and keep it logical.
