We have not forgotten what it said in its earlier spoof : End of world due to the particle accelerator experiment.
Well, may be the channel should have taken a responsible approach to show such news. Let me do it for them. Someone has to do it...... as they do not have anyone responsible to understand what is a skewed news and what is the truth, maybe see what the experts have said about it.
So, the news is about the calendar system of the Maya Civilization. We see the system uses some numbering system, and looks like we are out of numbers by the 2012. We''ll have to increment to the next phase after that time. OK, but why it has to be the end of the world then? Frankly, I do not see any basis. I do not know what the India TV folks are believing in?

One should have expected to have this information included in the so called 'sensational news'. Otherwise it would be just fear provoking show that would attract cheap publicity and cause fear and confusion to the public.
Looking at all this, my opinion that the channel is doing injustice to the profession, which is an important pillar for the democracy.
Please share with me, if anyone has seen such news by other irresponsible media organization.
I just wonder with so many engineers & scientists, india is still so much backwards, I think about 90% of india's people lack thinking power, that is why so many poor channels & 1000's of fake babas are making billions! It cannot be changed bcoz indians are just like that, only ray of hope is the government.
